KUSUMA TRUST PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED

We are pleased to announce that the Kusuma Trust Gibraltar has become the main sponsor for the 2020 Gibraltar Sustainability Awards.

Communities have been challenged by the UN to solve the world’s toughest sustainability challenges by 2030.  The Awards, which are in their inaugural year, acknowledge the good work that is taking place to address these challenges and seek to extend the adoption of sustainability.

Dr Soma Pujari, Co-Founder and Executive Trustee of Kusuma Trust Gibraltar commented:

“People across the world are becoming more aware of their relationship with the environment and society. There is growing understanding of our impact and an effort to move towards a sustainable future. Gibraltar has a tradition of punching above its weight and I am confident that it will be no different in responding to the global challenge of sustainability. We are delighted to celebrate that spirit of social responsibility in partnership with HM Government of Gibraltar and the Office of the Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Future Generations with the launch of the inaugural Gibraltar Sustainability Awards.”

The Commissioner, Prof Daniella Tilbury, explained the importance of this new partnership:

'We are grateful to the Kusuma Trust for partnering with us in our inaugural year. The Trust has a long standing commitment to sustainable development. It was important to us that our main sponsor shared our values as well as had a track record of acting socially responsibly. We are looking forward to working with the Kusuma Trust to recognise those who are making a positive difference, in our community.
