FutureMakers on The Hub
2021 FutureMakers, Tammy Randall and Tania Rahmanny, were invited to The Hub to share their experience and learnings of the Futures Forward Academy.
The Futures Forward Academy is programme relevant to young people aged between 20 to 30 who wish to play a role in creating a sustainable future. It is an initiative of the Office of the Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Future Generations, Gibraltar.
Developed against a backdrop of the COVID-19 health crisis, economic challenges arisen from Brexit, as well as the climate emergency, the Academy aims to support future leaders as they learn to adapt to such unforeseen challenges and prepare for complex future scenarios. More precisely, it provides a means of supporting the next generation with the necessary capabilities, mindsets and networks to address the Sustainable Development Goals and make a positive difference in their community. As individuals, participants are expected to develop the know-how to inform and influence change for sustainability and the ability to see the ‘bigger picture’. As a cohort, they are given opportunities to gain a collaborative support network of equally driven change-makers.
