EARTH HOUR 2020: ‘For us and Future Generations’
26/03/2020
This year following lockdown restrictions, The Office of the Commissioner for the Sustainable Development and Future Generations in partnership with the Mayor’s Office encouraged Gibraltarians to take action to lower their carbon footprint as part of this year’s EarthHour campaign.
EarthHour supporters were asked to stay home and to record short videos on their mobile phones which end with ‘For us and future generations. Gibraltar we can do it’.
The videos were posted on Twitter or Facebook and carried the #hashtags - #earthhour #gibraltar and #futuregenerationsgib. His Worship the Mayor, John Goncalves, initiated the podcast campaign releasing his own message on midday on the 26thMarch and in support of this important cause.
